Hey all I’m new to the black rifle world and have ordered an ms receiver set. I’ve noticed a lot of people using trigger tech and Giessiele triggers in there ms builds and haven’t really seen anyone saying they are using a timney trigger are timney ar triggers not very good or do they not fit in the modern sporter?
I have the timney Calvin elite. It's a good trigger I personally dont like how much creep it has.
The triggertech adjustable and diamond dont fit without some modifications to the trigger or upper on the first run of slick side uppers. They will fit with the forward assist and all uppers from now on.
That being said I will be using my Calvin elite in my modern sporter and a diamond in my stag 10. I dont like dremel fitting anything.

Anybody ordering anything going forward doesn't really need to worry about the triggertech adjustable. We were so incredibly impressed with the triggertech diamond that we made it a point to find a solution, that trigger is incredible! I am running a Timney Calvin Elite, because that's what I'm running in my modern hunter, and modern varmint too. So I kept it consistent. But a triggertech diamond AR is a GREAT option, and especially if you're looking to use a phase 5 ambi bolt release, or a magpul BAD lever, the triggertech will have more room inside the trigger guard.
