Ok I am new to the Norinco SKS.
I had a chinese army one as a kid and sold it years ago and like always regret it:(

It was a pretty nice one too! all I can remeber is it was a surplus one with factory code on the side.

I saw afew new norincos and they look like crap "no offence"
so where can I find a good pre 80s SKS?????
 
i dont know where you could get a good SKS but i think you need to go alot earlier than the 80s ..... 1965 and earlier.

i bot a factory 26 1965 all matching ( i was lucky) last october from leverarms but they are currently all sold out, they are expecting new shipment late september.

I saw some at Epps but they got bought up fairly fast.
does lever only sell older ones or are they a mixed lot?
 
I bought a Norc last year from SIR, which still lists them (though I cannot say if they're available or on backorder). Mine was built on a mixture of parts, but looked just as fine as my older SKS purchased from LeBaron's back in the early 90s. I could say the same for the one that a friend of mine purchased.
