I threw an upper on the CMM, it's actually 0.00000 inches.
Lol. If you used the Mitutoyo CMM im stuck with using at work the gas tube would read .0005 then .001 then .002 then back to .0005 again.
Yup we need a new one.
If that's the barrel you bought from me then you will need a carbine length gas tube.
You may have problems with gas port size.
As jiffx found out when swapping barrels on the WK the piston system doesn't use the same amount of gas as an AR.
You should measure the gas port size before you get too far into your build. You may get lucky and it works, or you could be overgassed, or hopefully undergassed since you could at least open up the port. You won't know till you measure it or try it.
Just because it fits doesn't mean that's an AR barrel. We ran into problems like this when guys were trying to save money doing NR conversions on the ACR using AR barrels.
And it's easy enough to measure the gas block saddle and figure out what length it is yourself.

Yes it does. Everything's the same except the gas port hole is slightly larger on the WK barrel than what it would be for an Ar15.
If the firearm shows signs of overgassing the the excess gas can easily be compensated for on an Ar15 platform (or the SLR in this case) by either using an extra heavy buffer to slow things down a bit or by using an adjustable gas block.
There is no reason this barrel can't be easily made to work on his SLR
Overgassing on an Ar15 platform is the easiest thing to compensate for.
If the port is larger than it would be on an AR then an adjustable gas block would be the best solution. Buffer weights and springs are for fine tuning not compensating for using off spec parts.
Yes, I have since learned that the gas port is slightly larger on the WK barrel than what is required for an Ar15. Yes an adjustable gas block would be the simplest way to compensate, if necessary. TNA sells cost effective ones.
bryan.14 if you try the barrel and there are any functional issues I will be more than willing to buy the barrel back for what you paid for it. I really can't see there being any issue that can't be easily remedied or I would not have sold it.
Best thing to do before jumping to any conclusions is put it together and try it out.
