Colt competition 9mm

I have one as well and agree on the too long ejector. After several failure to eject/feed and then a bent ejector,I was advised to shorten the ejector a couple mm,which I did and its been functioning perfectly.I really like the gun and use it regularly for IDPA.I did swap out the blue fiber optic front sight for red.

It will cycle fine but eventually( some rather quickly) it will start to bend where it meets the solid part and snap. If you know someone with a sti or other quality brand gun take a look at theirs. I haven't seen any other colts in 9mm so I can't say if this only on the competition model or not.

I've got a Colt Comp 9mm that I use in a Super Ghost Ultimate holster. I have one for my Shadow as well so it's easy to remember how to use it when switching for prod to classic.

In case you want to use it for USPSA single stack the holster requirement is "Suitable for everyday use. “Race gun” type holster prohibited." so the Super Ghost is probably not allowed. It is fine for IPSC classic division.

Finally some trigger time.
350 rounds 115gr and 124gr non stop, no extraction issues.
Although, it does throw brass erratically. Maybe jt was just the wind lol.

Cheers!

Lots of resources online to tune your extractor if you like tinkering
