Never had a chance to handle one or talk to someone that does. I am a big Sig fan and would wonder how the 250 would do?

I had an armored car guy walk into the store and say that his employer - Brinks - was transitioning to the S&W M&P .45.

He wanted to pick up his own personal gun to practise with.

Personally, I'd vote for Glock. But if they're out of the running, I'd vote M&P.

If you want a DA/SA .40 than IMO Beretta 90two is a way to go IMO;

* interchangable grips
* rail
* affordable
* built for .40

I have a P226 and I don't see a single advantage the gun has over 92/90two...No point in wasting extra money on a Sig for a secutity guard gun.

OR if you want a DAO than M&P is a clear winner IMO; (again, see the 4 points above).

How much training do they have ?
What does you 'smith prefer to fix ?
Or if your like most bosses , buy the cheapest thing out there .
Or offer to provide the basic kit to the employee or an equal dollar amount to allow him/her to use the heater of their choice .

I understand enforcement can buy prohib so I would suggest the Glock 23 as well.

Mine is an exceptionally accurate little firearm that consistantly gives me 1 1/2" 12 yards 10 shot groups.

Wrong calibre, I'm afraid.

I voted Glock, but for me it was a toss-up between Glock and Sig. They're both pretty good, but Sig is more expensive, and I've heard it's slightly less idiot-proof (if that's an issue; no insult to your employees intended).

Although in retrospect I think I'd change my vote to Sig if you're going .40. The jumpiness of a Glock (only shot in 9mm so far) would probably be even worse in .40.
