FW: Egyptian FN49 Sniper (Late Pattern)

No,....... the Egyptian FN49 has a nasty issue. The firing pin is one piece and has issues breaking and sticking forward in the bolt when the breech block drove the bolt into the lock position.
See, if the firing pin is stuck forward you get an out of battery firing or uncontrolled automatic firing...

Happened to me with a mint FN49 years ago.

I got a two piece firing pin from Numrich.

Bolt still lacks the safety device, but IMO, as long as pin is kept degreased it will be fine. I keep mine as a collector piece, it looks unissued.
