So with PA you’re going to get OK performance.

I’ve used several of their scopes, with the best one being the 1-8x Platinum.

My thoughts are this (in regards to their non-platinum line):

Glass is ok. Turret tracking is not needed because of their reticle. Eye relief and eye box are not great at Max magnification (which plays a factor with SFP scopes).

You are getting a scope that punches above it’s weight class, no doubt. But since you can’t easily warranty them here, I think it’s not worth looking into.

With PA, and I was victim for this too, people get suckered into the reticle. Realistically, unless you have a loading developed for the reticle, barrel length etc and only stock that ammo, at best your reticle is close enough.

Personally I’d avoid them. I’ve sold all mine off. I’m now vortex for scopes and holosun for RDS.

I've been pretty happy with one, just picked it up recently. At it's price point, if you're on a budget, it's solid. I wasn't happy with the PA 4-14, but the 3-18 is much better. It's no Trijicon Accupower or US Optics scope. But it's not at that price either.

I haven't tested the reticle past 300m yet, sadly I don't have easy access to a very long range. I do handload, so I'll try to replicate the ballistics on the reticle, that seems easy enough.

Agree about the eyebox though - it's fine for a rifle on a bipod that you're getting behind comfortably, but I wouldn't use it for hunting or anything.

Are all primary arms scopes made in China?

They recently came out with a new line.

Silver = China
Gold = Philippines (I suspect)
Platinum = Japan

Given that the gold is twice as expensive as the silver and the platinum is twice as expensive as the gold, that’s about on par for what companies are charging for optics made in those respective countries. Case in point: Vortex PST II vs RAZOR II
