The story is both short and sweet: a bunch of "us" had been led into IDPA for a good number of years. We saw that our ability to continue to shoot would be enhanced if we involved a larger number of people and clubs. So we created the ODPL to make the shooting more regular and dependable.
The mission statement is on the homepage: http://www.odplonline.org/ , and the rules and shooting schedule (and pics and so one) are accessible from there as well.
The next match is this weekend at the HAHA; the match after that is Sept 9 at the BRRC.

Think of IDPA without the skill rankings, no prizes, no membership fees. All the same types of props, scenarios, equipment. Currently supported/endorsed by 5 clubs (around the Golden Horseshoe/Tri-City area in Ontario) with a 6th on the way I believe.

Same format as HAHA. 1st come 1st shoot starting around 9:30-10:00 last squade starts at about 1600hrs

Speaking of ODPL. I don't think I'll be able to make it out this weekend. Something about my wife having a kid on Saturday means no shooting on Sunday
No problem dude, I can help. It's Thursday night. Love your woman old school tonight and tommorrow. Then buy her a pogo stick tommorrow after breakfast. Have her ride that ##### like Wendy on a federal grant.
She'll be in labour by dinner tommorrow. Your Saturday will be busy, but if you pack your bag while she packs hers, you'll be good to go Sunday morning when you can turn her over to the loving care of your monster-in-law. They'll never even know you were gone.
Laugh. C-Section Saturday Morning. @ 7am (due date was Sept 14th). But you never know... I may be able to rope some parental units into staying with her while I play

Oh we exist. Just not yet as popular/well known as IDPA since we are Local and Ontario based
