What to plugs holes on top of action.with?

I just got a Browning blr 81 lightweight stainless takedown and I am putting a scout style mount and scout scope on the barrel.
I noticed the mounting holes over the action go right through is there a plug of some kind or do i need to find some small bolts and blue loctite them in.
I live on northern vancouver island, very wet climate and this gun will be getting used in heavy rain. Does it even matter or should I plug them?
 
There are little headless plug screws to fill the holes. They were in the holes when the rifle was new.
 
Thanks guys i wil look into the headless bolts.
I bought the rifle used and it had rings and bases there before.
I'm also in Port Hardy BC closest gun shop is almost 3 hour drive but I will head south eventually. Haha

Granlunds is three hours away from the guy.
If I knew what thread size for certain I would go next door to my lgs and get some from the parts bin.
Surprised nobody has offered that up yet.
Hell, might have time before running back to Saskatoon via Red Deer Terrace and Medicine Hat on the 'arley.

Mighty generous of you to offer. That is something that can probably be figured out with google quickly and then screws ordered. My comment was more to help with the terminology for him to search a set screw as the original post seemed unclear of the term, with that it may be easier to find what he's looking for "is there a plug of some kind?"

I'm in Calgary and have better access than others in rural areas, but I still order crap from China, as its easier than driving to the other end of the city to find out they don't stock anything or are out of stock etc.

For something like this scenario, most of us could probably order something in a plastic container with 6 or 8 different thread sizes through ebay or aliexpress or similar fairly cheaply and easily as well.

Just contact your local gunsmith and ask for "filler screws". He will probably give them to you for no cost.

Hey Cody C was just a little fun.
Wasn’t meant to put you on the spot or anything.
Those who have been around the block know what the other guy is trying to say and sometimes they don’t.
Like the time I was looking at a SXS and called the ejectors erectors and some had a field day with it.
I knew what I wanted to say, but my fingers didn’t type it.

I generally go with the positive stop type plug screws over the standard ones. They look better when installed & stay put without using fastener adhesives. I put
a dab of Lee bullet lube or wheel bearing grease on either type to seal the threads from moisture & corrosion.
