I know they have lots of 9mm models...and now .40S&W and I assume they will come out with 10mm and .45Auto soon enough...I meant I don't think they will remake their .44Mag Deerfield rifle.

some good quality 10mm 200gr handloads or quality buffalo bore ammo brings the 10mm into the light .44mag sidew, especially out of a 18.5" barrel carbine, 200gr @ 1350fps is doable

.44Magnum is a large, rimmed round...I don't know of any magazine that that it besides the Desert Eagle...I really don't see it happening!!!

That's great, I talked to ruger on the subject when this was first announced. Obv they are going to milk sales of lesser calibers first considering how popular the old 44 still is, they know if it was released first or at the same time it would kill the total volume of sales.

I will take the 44 over handloading or high prices of buffalo bore. Have to remember this is a semi that will only be designed to withstand regular 10mm loading that are basically 40 cal power. Using +p ammo or hot loads will likely damage the rifle over time like what happens to other blow back carbines in this caliber.

IF and a big IF...they could make one in .357Mag and/or .38Special...it may have cycling issues if the springs are for the magnum load tho...it would hopefully well, I'd buy one at least!!!

...there is a reason semi auto handguns, let alone rifles in older fully RIMMED rounds are uncommon tho :(

Maybe...Ruger is known for their tough and over built guns tho

My desert eagle has had zero issues, that would be the only magazine to use

9mm,.40, .357sig,.45ACP,10mm in other words pretty much anything that comes in a glock magazine makes sense..... I just don't see the logic in offering it in .44mag or .357mag.

I get why some guy might want it but I think it might be a long shot to say the least....

As far as wood stocks go I guess the challenge is to accommodate the magazine well and mag release areas..... anything is possible I suppose.... I don't mind the stock as is and it suits the roll of the gun just fine in plastic.... at least it's got a nice solid feel it for a plastic stock on a cheap gun.

hydrodiped with a wood grain film might look interesting for someone looking for that 80's station wagon look.... :)

I’d buy a .44Mag in a heart beat. Perfect deer gun, just Ike the old and very rare ruger 44 deer carbine they use to sell.

I broke down and bought one this week.

It was pretty close to sighted in out of the box with 115gr hand loads and Fiochi ball.

Now it's sighted in for 50 yards

Zero fte ftf in 150 rounds fired.

The last round fired alway sounds more muffled, enough so that I was pulling off the barrel to make sure the bore was clear. No squibs though so I suspect it is the the way the carbine is

I am going to leave it with just the irons. Have a light and green laser on the front pic rail and wilm put a 2 point sling on it.
