BC LEH draw has been done and the results are out.

So the ones that have ..well ..horseshoes you know where,,think the system is great and not rigged..
never mind that you can go a entire lifetime and never get some draws..
where others basically get what ever they want...Here are some things that may help..
1. you are related to a CO
2. you put FN on all your entries
3. you hunt with a group even though you aren't legally allowed
4. you get a draw for a certain area but hunt in other close by areas with better chances
5. the draws penalize you if you are in a non dipper riding
6. you get your wife to put in and drag her along while hunting
I'm sure I;ve missed a few so chime in with some others..
Also there is a reason why you must present yourself at a government agent for renewal of your hunter #
 
Do you honestly believe what you are saying?

You forgot to add the one about anti-hunters in the post office destroying any mail in applications.

That was another popular rumour a few years ago.

OH! Don't forget the one about anti-hunters submitting applications to prevent real hunters from getting draws.

And the one about using the correct coloured pens to fill in the cards too.

the only reason I'm not putting in is because I just have zero faith in those who manage our game opportunities and the fact that all our license fees go to general revenue instead if into habitat management and improvement.
I could care less if the LEH is rigged, or flawed, or influenced, it is a garbage system that certainly does not give all resident hunters and equal opportunity at a tag no matter what they say.
A new system needs to be put in place but that will never happen. Hunting is fast becoming politically incorrect and won't be long before BC residents vote in another catastrophic group of no good politicians. Pretty clear to me based on the billions laundered thru our province that certain key members of the BC NDP and BC Liberal party are deeply in the pockets of organized crime. But everyone votes for these two parties back and forth and they wonder why our lives are so hard and our recreational opportunities and cultural heritage are being washed away. LOL

I'm going to spend the money to hunt where having an LEH tag doesn't matter. Means more work, more money, more gear but there will be less hunters.
 
Didn’t bother with the LEH again for this year, I’d rather stay local and capitalize on the home advantage then have to spend gas and time for one specific thing. I can hunt pretty much everything I want locally where I know the areas and can be out every day during the reg season, there’s only one month a year I can’t hunt for meat so being close to home is more important than heading further away or out of region.
 
Nothing for myself or my wife this year.... but it’s been a few years since both of us got skunked. Most years we manage an LEH or two, it’s a nice supplement to the GOS opportunity’s that those of us that live in B.C. are lucky enough to get. I think it’s a pretty good system, but a lot of people like to b#@%h about it. The odds of some of our draws are astronomical, it would make it very tough to have a priority based system.
 
Someone in our hunting party use to draw a moose tag every year, now it has been over 15 years since the last tag was drawn. If there is/was a system, it's broken
 
This thread has become entertainment. Who would have guessed?

Get a grip, guys. For Christ's sake it is a lottery. Your chances of winning are inherently fair, and the outcome is invariably unfair. Every damned year.

The best way to be certain of the outcome is to not play at all - apparently this is the most appealing choice for some. Me, I like the chance to win an LEH tag here and there. That's all it is.
