The wear on the hammer and bolt release seem like very odd places and a lot for a new gun with 200 rounds....
Does anyone elses buffer look like that too?

The 'beat' buffer looks normal.

The wear on the hammer & the bolt release DO NOT look normal. Is the hammer smashing the bolt release?

Very curious what Odell will do once you show them this...

Cheers

I think that hammer is likely the issue. That buffer wear is normal. The bolt catch can take a little wear from the bolt hitting it but that is a bit much. The bolt catch however is not the cause of the misfires. I strongly at this point suspect the hammer.

Good luck and keep us informed.

Got an email this am , they are sending a shipping label for me to return it for warranty work.

Just to add I went to the range with a friend and his mk12. His has way more rounds than mine and did not have any wear...including not on the buffer

What magazines are you using, I remember seeing a video on YouTube with a guy explaining mag issues, and engaging the mag to hard into the magwell causing the mag to sit to high and interfer with the action during loading\unloading a round. I will try to find video and post but check for that. Just my .02

That's the stock one with the cheek riser removed...I did the same.

There is an easy fix for that. Just bend out the metal on the mag just below the bag catch opening.

Sorry had a significant auto accident that had me delayed.

Bend the spot indicated out.

Oh man I wasn't really planning on buying a shotgun but perhaps I will now. I like the steel and ice versions.

I am relatively new to guns and only have a piston AR-15. Out of curiosity what happens if you assemble this particular shot gun incorrectly? Or would that be relatively impossible, say there is a function test that would rule out any possible issues after reassembling. I have a slight fear of breaking things, probably just the lack of experience.
