"Safe to say at this point YC9 will be the model number of the new 9mm pistol.

When it is release in LATE 2019 (this as been our targeted release date since SHOT Show) we will have a couple of options. YC9 will be the model number and roll marked on every slide. We will offer a full blown YEET CANNON edition so the slide will be roll marked with YC9 and YEET CANNON.

If you are a fan you can get the YC9 with YEET CANNON and if you are not a fan you can just get a standard YC9 pistol. The option will be up to you!

We are not cutting the vote early mainly due to we have plenty of behind the scenes work still to do and we have a couple of cool things to announce on Friday live at 1pm EST."

Hi-Point is going to be responsible for a stupid amount of Millennials getting a cheap pistol purely for the joke/meme.

I'm not joking, this will actually spur young Millennial men that are on the fence about getting an RPAL to get an RPAL, just to get this silly gun and say that they actually own a "Yeet Cannon."

They actually caved to pressure?Last I heard was theu weren't going with it because they reserved the naming rights regardless of contest outcome.
I guess HK mocking them on Twitter may have had something to do with it.
They seem to take themselves too seriously.

I'll buy one for sure, maybe two if they come in with the legal barrel.

Dual Yeet-Cannons.

Same here and at least 4 extra mags per gun!
HK mocking them is just jealousy considering HK's financial state.
I bet Hi-Point is not scrambling to survive given their price point, amount of guns sold, warranty and customer service.
Durability however, has yet to be seen but previous Hi-Point models are well regarded.

Hi-Point? No, they know who they are.
