7.62x51 IVI loads

I have a Stag10, and use IVI brass.

They do require a lot of work to get back into shape.

1.full length size "small base dies"
2. Trim to proper length "they have very long necks"
3. Chamfer and debur neck
4. Swag and ream primer pocket to content depth
5.Run through my RCBS chamber guage. 'some just won't fit even after all that jazz.

I can usually get the cases to weigh within .5gn of each other. This is usually good stuff. I think the haters come from people not prepping the brass enough. .

My load is use is

Varget
42g
168 SMK
CCI BR2 primers
2.800 OAL

Can usually hold 1 MOA sometimes .75" , sometimes 1.25"

IVI brass - Just have to work on them.
After a solid clean in my F.A.R.T they get the trim which takes most of the time.
Dont really have any complaints as they are cheap and after all reloading is about saving you that $$
My Load :

IMR 4895
41 grain
147 Campro
CCI #200
2.0 Brass length
2.8 OAL
+/- .0005

Always check Reload Manuals before reloading, this just works for me at the current time.

Most my IVI brass was fired in rifles I think.
I unloaded a fair bit of it myself.
It great brass, nice and thick, it barely stretches and will last a long time in a relatively tight chamber.

43gr h4895 behind a 150gr fmj is great M80 ball clone load. Gets about 2750 fps in my 22" M14.
Never tried the 155gr Berger but if it's quite a bit longer you might want to back that off a bit.
