Hi Guys. New guy here. After not owning any firearms for about 8 years I decided to buy one and get back into the shooting hobby. I used to own a Mossberg 590 about 10 years ago and I've been missing that shotgun. So for nostalgia I went out and bought this onthe weekend.
I added a Speedfeed stock and a side shell carrier as I believe you can never have too many shells close at hand. The Surefire tactical light was a bit of a challenge to fit. It was a bit too long and if I racked the action it would have hit the bayonet lug. I then made some measurements on the light's housing and the fore-end tube assembly to see if it were possible to rectify the problem. I figured it was worth a try so I used a Dremel rotary tool and a hobby knife to take 3/4 inch out from the inside of the housing for the tactical light. After a few test fits and some further adjustments I managed to fit the tactical light onto the tube assembly with adequate clearance to accomodate the light. I slowly worked the action forward to see if it was good. Yup. It was good. So I gave it a good rack and sure enough it didn't whack the light into the bayonet lug. Woohoo! Not I can't wait to take it to the range to fire it for the first time. In a week or so I should get my next gun from Arms East. It's gonna be awesome!
