Brno 21H enthusiast club

LOL!!! My visual estimate was way off. I measured the groups and they were much small than I visualized. Out of the two powders I used, IMR-4350 and Reloder 22, the worst group was 2.1" and the best .816". I'll still work on this load and then try the 175 gr. Speer Grand Slam or the 175 gr. Nosler partition. Thanks for your offer anyway.

Nothing wrong with those groups!

Lovely carry rifle. I have one and am looking for a (narrow) sling for it, to fit the 3/4" swivels, if anyone has one they'd like to sell.

I plan on purchasing the Browning Horsehair sling. I believe it will fit the 3/4" swivel, if not, I'll make it fit.

I investigated and found a nice Levy from Reliable in Vancouver.
Thanks for your help.

The 21h is a well balanced little rifle for we who prefer a well made bolt action with a trim, short stock.. For a long day in the woods it's a a toss up for me between it and the little Finwolf .308, though I prefer the 7x57 cartridge.

How is the recoil of a 21/22 with a 8x57 and healthy loads? "Significant", I would assume.

I can't elaborate on the 8x57, however my 7x57, using 160 grain has moderate recoil. The original hard plastic butt plate doesn't help the shoulder, left some superficial bruising.

My 21H is not bad at all with full stoked 8x57 loads of 180 ballistic tips dont find it objectionable in the least

Yesterday was range day with the Bruno 21H, 7x57 and the 270 Win.. I reloaded Nosler 175 gr. Partition with VV-165 and Re 22. Had some great load results, better than the 160 gr. Accubonds. The little rifle loves the bullet and most powder charges. This will be my stalking rifle for the boreal forest, accompanied with a great bullet and load.
