Hello I'm looking for some high quality dies for the RCBS Rockchucker Supreme or the Redding Big Boss II, I heard Redding has very good quality dies. What are your recommendations, also where to buy?

I'm also thinking of getting the Hornady LnL bushing for easier swap, will this influence the quality of the ammo produced? I heard some people say that it has some wiggle which might be good, other people say is better just to screw your dies to the press.

Thanks!

If you are reloading for precision shooting, Forster Benchrest or Redding Type-s. And forget about the LNL bushings. If you are reloading for hunting or plinking, then RCBS and Hornady are valid brands and you can use the LNL bushings.

I use a mix of dies actually

My Neck size die is Lee
Body size die Redding
Micrometer seating die Forster

Very happy with this trio so far

By Lee Collet sizing die you mean the one it comes inside this set?

And do you do resizing in 2 steps? One for body only and one for neck only?

Exactly
Resize body to bump 2 thou (assuming its bolt action rifle),
And then resize necks seperately.

I confirm that all my reloaded 308 ammo, is sub 1 thou runout that way, which is cool to have!

Lot’s of us on here learned this from Mystic Precision,
If you email him he’ll have you set on that 3 die combo.

I already have that Lee set so maybe i just need the bullet seater and body sizing. Any reason why you choose Forster and not Redding for the bullet seating die?

To be honest not much reason, mokey see mokey do type of thing.
But, with this die combo, doesn’t mean it cannot be done with other dies, i have 0.5 thou runout avg, and that on a cheap Lee press.
Recently upgraded my press to a deluxe Forster co-ax, did not change my ammo quality one single bit.
These dies work hard and well no matter if they are screwed on a 100$ Lee press or 500$ Forster press

YMMV but I use a four step process to control run out and bump. I body size without bumping the shoulders, I have another bump die just to set the shoulders back, then I neck size with the Lee Collet Die I use different custom mandrel diameters to control the neck tension and seat with a Forster Microseater. Using a Co-ax press see my run out on a 0.0005" dial indicator if video below.
