In the market for 10 mm. Looking for reliability and durability, especially with heavy bullets. What make and model do you suggest? Was thinking the G20 gen 5 but appreciate any advice. Thanks!

The strongest 10mm are S&W 1006 and Glock 10mm ... The S&W one of the few guns designed for full power 10mm rather than "long" .40s

I think the STI Perfect 10 is the Ferrari of 10mm guns, but the Glock 20 is the Honda Civic that most people get.

I love 10mm, but the problem with it (especially out of the Glock) is that it’s so powerful that you can’t even really accurately shoot it on rapid fire semi auto.

I had the G20 and eventually went back to 9mm guns and got a 44 Mag revolver for when I wanted a hand cannon. 9mm is just so much cheaper to fire and easier to shoot rapidly.

It’s kind of like the 7.62 vs 5.56 debate in that of course one round of the bigger bullet is more powerful, but you’re getting way more hits with the smaller round because it’s easier to shoot.

Actually there are no gen 5 10mm glocks yet but the 4s are just fine.

Other options would be the Springfield XDM (4.5" or 5.25") if you are looking for polymer

EAA/Tanfoglio if you want steel options. The EAA/Tanfoglios have quite a 10mm following in the US. They are not that expensive, the CZ design shoots very well, and they are very robust. Here are a couple examples. IRUNGUNS has several models.

Grand Power is another option some people like.

That XDM looks like a winner...
