Anyone know what's going on with LOCKHART TACTICAL?

I can't complain about communication with Lockhart as I sent them a question via the website and got a phone call 2 mins later with an answer to my question.

"I've ordered a few things from them in the past and what I learned is to contact him to find out if the item is in stock and if not how long long it will take to get it."

Agreed, same here. Showed he had a few Colt Competition 45's in stock so I decided to call and check and he had none for a while and there was an 8 week lead time to get one, this means his website isn't up to date and can be somewhat misleading....so I bought from Wild West instead.

I have made one purchase from Lockhart tactical, had excellent communication through email and smooth transaction overall. They may be ignoring their online presence to focus on the real world issues for a few days.

I ordered a few pieces off of him. Granted yes i took longer then i expected to receive them, but he dropped them off to my house. One piece was missing and he delevered it to me less then an hour later. I see his truck running around town alot, my assumption is he is working hard on his new shop and well that takes timw and lots of effort. Im waiting like the rest of you to see what sam has to offer with the ar kits but hey patience is a virtue

I have tried to order from them because they are local to me but it never pans out. One time it was ordering something available on the website which apparently was either sold out or never available and with no word on when it would be restocked. No point shopping a webstore where the inventory isn't accurate and up to date.

The other time was when I wanted some work done. I offered to meet him *anywhere* *any time* to save on shipping to him and time but he insisted I ship the item. That removed any impetus to shop locally.

I hope a new shop means the business is expanding and more people will be hired. Would like to see them succeed but I get the feeling right now that's he's in way over his head.

Alright Ladies and Gents.

I just logged on today to see this thread.

Going to be 100% honest with you all.
CGN is something we pay for. Yes... It costs us thousands of dollars each year to have a profile on here, however this is not what we would consider to be a critical means of communication.
For anyone that has called our phone lines, we do have a message stating that we are crazy swamped and undergoing construction.

Without getting too in depth with all the concerns brought up in the comments below I'd like paint a quick over all picture of what we try to do.

1) I cannot guarantee we always have everything in stock and can ship the same day, but we are excellent 99% of the time in terms of ensuring customers know what is going on and if there is any delay. We do our best to ship everything as soon as we can, and ultimately we are very easy to work with and offer a massive selection and will continue to keep improving all areas we can.

2) When someone brings to our attention something that is wrong with the site, we do our best to correct the issue as soon as we can.

3) While we sometimes make mistakes, we do our absolute best to own up to it and try to make the situation right.

At the end of the day... while the current government is doing their best to label you and every other law abiding firearm owner on the planet as a terrorist... some firearm shops are shifting their business models to stop selling firearms due to potential upcoming legislation while some firearm shops are closing down completely... We are investing literally every CENT we have into the future. We're doing our best to continue the good fight for Law Abiding Citizens. Purchasing new CNC Milling machines, Laser Engravers, and other manufacturing equipment. Building a new shop to support hiring of more Canadians...

Anything firearm related is being clamped down on by Credit card companys, banks, social media, website hosting companys and other aspects of life and business... but we're not running.

We're doing our best to throw up some stuff on social media to keep people informed. Anyone emailing us should still be getting a response back as soon as we can. Anyone calling us, if we don't pick up... will hear our answering machine stating we're building and to please email us.

CGN is NOT somewhere we check daily, or heck even weekly.
We check our email inbox and we're busy doing the good work we do.

Our mission is to continue innovative and exciting products for the Canadian market. We're invested into it and we'll continue growing and hashing out flaws as they come up. We also of course do our best to have very competitive pricing, trying to beat bigger stores where we can.

We will remain here and do our best to serve Canadians, and guess what? Just like every other store... including the giants... Walmart, Canadian Tire... etc etc, we can't do it without you.
Our intention is to never leave a customer in the dark.

Heck, we have a few negative comments here, and we're not happy nor proud to hear that some good people have had a bad experience with us... but keep in mind that there are literally thousands of people who email us late at night while surfing our site, and if we happen to be awake at 1am... you better believe we're sending a response immediately because we DO care about our customers and business. We're proud of who we are, where we came from and where we are headed.

Our new shop should help us a lot, and that is why we are focused 100% on getting it up and running as fast as possible.

If everything was perfect, we'd have nothing to strive to improve ;) And we don't want to ever think we are 100% done trying to do better.

Thank you to everyone who supports us, and to those who don't... Well we'll keep doing what we can to have you join Team Lockhart

When the first words that come out of business is complaining about the cost of cgn... NO Thanks!!! To you sir I say good riddance

You must be a free user :)

Bottom line is, every cost adds up.
What the message stated was even though its expensive, we still don't feel this is a critical means of communication.

What that was supposed to mean is... just because we aren't on updating everything on every social media platform doesn't mean we're ghosting.
We're simply swinging hammers to make it happen. Our Email is always on and our first place to check and respond.

I have only dealt with Lockhart once, I wanted them to source a product not carried by most dealers.(Malcolm scope + hardware)
They were able to get what I wanted in a fairly short period of time, and shipped it quickly.
They were responsive to all my inquiries.
I'll certainly deal with them again, but I'll give them a chance to settle in their new shop first.

Well im a happy customer.. And i cant wait to see what you have in the works. Will the shop be accessible to customers like a storefront?

I can attest to Sam replying to emails in the late evening. Great communication, and while I have only done 2 orders with Lockhart, I do recommend them.

Still waiting on the Raven 9 and Blackbird 10mm..... patiently.

We'll probably have a little kiosk or such.
At least a good setup for picking up orders and what not.

Our main focus as S&J hardware stated below is getting more into the manufacturing side.

I don’t want to bring this thread back but I’ve been waiting well over a month to hear back from you. I’ve called many times and sent multiple emails.
