Sorry if this has been asked many times before, I tried the search and found nothing.

I have a Glock 17 and a Ruger PCC carbine that I would like to buy at least 2 more mags for.

Will the mags for a G22 work in my guns?

Do I have to be Generation compatible for the mags and my Gen 3 G17?

I realize that I may have to adjust the feed lips on the new mags to reliably hold the smaller 9mm cartridges.

Thanks for any and all advice.

I found that my KCI .40 mags would feed 9mm fairly well in my Glock 9mm pistols, but these are double stack mags pinned to 10 rounds. I will try both the .40 Glock single column and the KCI .40 double stack mags in my Ruger PCC next time I go to the range.

If you haven't converted either of your firearms to left-handed operation, then generation compatibility shouldn't matter. Gen 4+ added a mag release cut out on the right side of the magazine body, allowing the user to swap the mag release from the left to right side.

I've left both as is.

Did you end up getting 40s&w mags for your glock and Ruger PCC? I am looking for some as well. Just wondering how they worked for you?

Like all .40 Glock mags, they'll work with 9mm, most of the time... Wouldn't want to use them in competition as they do mess up frequently enough it's an inconvenience... Will cost you a stage or two too.
