Ruger PC Carbine

This carbine weighs less than most newborn babies and yet some people think its heavy. Too many office types out there?
Well, just to be clear, I didn't say it was "too heavy" just that it's heavier than I expect it to be based on my decades of experience with the 10/22.
shot mine today, works great. I tried Glock 10/17 and 10/32 mags and Promag 10/17. All worked great. Load was cast 137 gr. rnfp (Miha 6 cavity) olin 231, Dominion primers.
If the Ruger feels heavy for a PCC, get a sub-2000. I had one, I much prefer the Ruger PCC. I hope they make them in .45 acp, or a conversion kit.

I think it's a comparison thing for me.
From left to right the PCC (with one empty 10 round G17 mag) weighs 7.2 lbs.
The Timberwolf .357 magnum weighs 6.2 lbs and the Henry .357 carbine weighs 7.0 lbs.
Handling them side by side the Timberwolf feels much lighter, handles and points more quickly and is thinner and easier to carry plus it has way more power with full house 158 gr JSP or JHP. It is slower to load and to re-load.
I've done a fair amount of hiking with mine and never really found it ungainly or overly heavy. That being said, I do think it is a bit heavy for a pistol round but the upside is it's super nice to shoot.
I plan on getting a Sub2000 in the near future for it's super light weight. It would be nice to have a lighter gun to pack at times but as someone above mentioned they are not as nice to shoot. Not that any 9mm has any real sort of recoil but it just isn't as pleasant as the Ruger.

While I agree with you, we don’t have enough info to know where the “alleged” got their own firearms from. Maybe off the victim(s). Just sayin.
In a 9mm or .40auto gun ? The glock 23 is a .40auto magazine
I got mine today from the Post Office. Changed out the magwell to Glock. Took it to the range and the gun is spot on at 25 yards. Perfect for IDPA PCC Division. The gun has a better trigger than my CX4 Storm and about the same as my Sub2k. I may see how the Sub2K works with a Sparc2 on it. The Ruger is a dream to shoot with the Peep sight. Right now it is a toss up between the shorter CX4 Storm and the Ruger for PCC. The Sub2k will be my truck gun loaded with 147gr solids.
Would be nice if someone makes a magwell for the Ruger using S&W or Beretta 92 mags. I have three 10rd Glock 17 mags and a 10/32 mag for my US trips. All the mags worked perfectly in the Ruger. Would the Glock 26 mags work in this gun?

Can’t really blame the gun then.....
It’s heavy for a pistol caliber .... weighs the same as a mini 14 (basically same length too) and probably about the same weight as a short shotgun. It should prove to be a ruggedly built rifle, but there are more powerful guns for the same weight. These are real interesting though ... I find 9mm rifles real fun to shoot.
Thanks for the info. Now to find some! It is fair to say this gun was designed around the concept to meet a need for the competition crowd and the growing interest in two and three gun competitions, along with stand alone events involving PCC's. Probbaly a good choice for shooting deer over in the Charlottes as well.
