Whats your best ammo choice for your 10/22

Basicly, what do you find works best in your 10/22? Stuff that has the least fail to feed, fail to fire, etc

I ask due to the fact I bought a 10/22 years ago and got tired of the ammo issues. So it became a safe queen.
I have about 2 cases of Remington "cyclones" and they cycle fine through my Squires Bingham M22 semi. Sadly, yesterday something happened with the Squires that I still haven't figured out yet. Basicly a cartrige went off with the bolt half open. Deafened me in one ear for a bit, but the extractor got ripped out of the bolt along with the extractor spring and plunger. This gun is 33 years old and I'm HOPING to find parts.
But, if I can't...I have this minty 10/22 that I might have to start using.
 
CCI mini-mags have a reputation for being very consistent and accurate without going into the more expensive target ammunition.

That being said, it may not be the most accurate in your rifle. You will have to try different brands and types to find what is the best in your specific rifle.
 
CCI Mini mags, copperplated roundnose. No issues in my 10/22. Unlike previous years there seems to be a decent supply of them as well.
 
CCI has worked flawlessly for me, minimags (36gr cp hp and 40gr cp rn) and ar tactical (40gr cp rn).

Remington Golden Bullets (36gr brass-plated hp) have been awful for me, in both my 10/22 and Mk4. FTF about 1-2 times per mag. I note that the golden bullet cartridges feel rough and dusty/abrasive in a metallic way, while the minimags feel slightly slippery but dry (not oily).
 
I think I must be the luckiest 10/22 owner alive. Bought a plane-jane ruger in 1991. Put a Butler Creek heavy barrel and stock on it right on the checkout counter at the store I bought it in. Threw a hammer and spring kit into it a few years later to lighten up the trigger and a Volquartzen extractor.

This gun eats anything I throw at it. I can count the number of FTF on one hand. I might get 1 stovepipe per season, can't even be sure to blame the gun or the ammo. I stopped cleaning it 8 gopher seasons ago to see how long it would run dirty. My favorite gopher ammo is yellowjackets to boot. Many of you would cringe to look in the action but it still runs like a top.

Might clean it next year.;)
 
Back in my 10/22 days Remington ammo always ran well, but Winchester caused problems far too often.
 
+1 for the CCI products.

I run CCI Velocitors in mine and they are reliable and the most accurate but kind of on the expensive side.

Remington Thunderbolts are crap and I gave away the last brick I had to the local turkey shoot. Many Misfires and extremely dirty.
 
CCI, Federal, Blaser, Winchester, both white and black, all run well for me. A few other as well, the only ones I've had issues with is the Remington Golden Bullet value pack and Thunderbolt crap.

Never again.
 
Most accurate: CCI Green Tag / or ELEY Tenex / Match / Club.
Accurate Budget: Federal Champion (batched / sorted via rim thickness)
Reliability: Blazer 40 grain

I have 6 different versions of the 10/22, and this is generally the case for most of them. Now testing some RWS / Aguila with great results so far.

I have a Dlask barrel in mine. It likes SK Standard Plus, CCI standard velocity and the impossible to find Remington Game Load.
