Its designed for competition use. As Canadians who dont carry, it doesnt matter that its slightly less durable than a RMR.

Trijicon website description says target and competition use. Specifically for handguns.

I certainly wouldn't expect the SRO to stand up to abuse to the same extent that the RMR or Aimpoint ACRO are capable of withstanding. There is a very specific design purpose behind those patented "horns" on the outside edges of the RMR housing. The ACRO housing is similarly hardened for military and LE duty use. The SRO not so much from what I have read and heard. YMMV...

I would have had an acro on my 509t by now but rdsc was unable to provide or confirm mounting hardware so I’ve been waiting for the sro or the right rmr to pop up.
Mark....what have you mounted your acro onto? How do you like it so far?
