Are there effective ways to reduce recoil on inertia shotguns? My Girsan tends to rattle parts of me I'd rather not have rattled with the hyper velocity ammo. Recoil normally doesn't bother me, but the thought of firing off one or more boxes of 3 1/2" in a short time is not a prospect I look forward to.

As mentioned before adding weight, and staying with 3" shells will help reduce recoil. Some companies (Briley for instance) sell weights that replace the magazine cap. Could also fill the butt stock with some weight. A padded shooting vest would help tame the kick some also.

I'm not sure you should even be allowed to use a gun like that. I mean, I don't use one so who needs it? Should probably go on the restricted list.

Semi Auto? Oh the humanity.....think of the children!

I have a shooting shoulder pad, I guess they'd be called. It does help quite a bit. I was a little concerned that added weight could interfere with the inertia action. No cause for worry, then? It's going to be a single-purpose gun, used in a blind, so weight will not be an issue, as I won't be carrying it much.

Hi PapaC - I just bought a MC312 this Spring and after the first time out I bought a LimbSaver - about $55 at BP. Made a world of diff. I was using 3" Fed & Win 1-oz. HV Slugs - NO Fun at all !! I just was wearing a t-shirt, no padding. I may also add weights in buttstock. Really a fine weapon, tho. I like the finish, and so far fires all I feed it.

Do they have a model that fits the Girsan, or did you have to grind to fit?
