Purchased a BLR 358win at hour last gun show.
Nice rifle, but olie molie, full case of powder and 250 pills
sure mayker'ard on the shoulder at the range.

What is out there for softer butt pads than what is awn'eer?
Would like to find one that fits this stock.
This rifle is of the newer generation with the folding hammer.

What have you CGN'rs tried that works and where have you
purchased them?

I’ve used several “Nitro” grind to fit recoil pads. I leave them full size to spread the recoil over a wider area. Looks bad, feels good... it totally changed the character of several of my guns.

The .358win Awwkeye has a factory mushy pad awn the rear.
Big diffrince.

Take the recoil pad of and use the Limbsaver PDF template to determine closest fit. The may be a good match in there. Otherwise use a good grind to fit pad.
 
Nawt goonah ware noze female gitch awn me shoulder.
Had a Kickeez that worked on my older BLR.
For some reason the rear stock is diffrunt awn this newer BLR.
I will find one, figured it would be easier to git one shipped'ear.

Luke, get a muzzle brake put onto that thing. The BLR just isn't ergonomically correct for some people and felt recoil because of it is horrendous. It's the main reason I never could get into Lever action rifles.
 
Git yerself a Browning button up shirt with the pad pocket on the shoulder and I’ll mail ya a browning recoil pad.. Discrete way to use the pad and it helps while shooting kickers off the bench.
 
Two choices, sell it and buy a girls rifle or man up and shoot it as is. WTF, all this talk of feminine hygene products and flip flops, next thing you know Looky will have a man bun and a man purse.

Mine has had a soft recoil pad added, and a muzzle brake. Both by the PO. I dont think it really needs the brake, but it cuts down on recoil quite a bit, while adding to the muzzle blast, sadly. - dan
