Tell Me About The ODPL

I like the attitude. It seems ideal for a late starter such as myself.

I should have my holster qualifications by the end of September.

I'd never competed before I met this motley crew of odpa'ers. I can't imagine shooting with anyone else now...no ego, no attitude and a whole lotta fun! How can it be any better then your friends heckling you while you screw up the stage? (and I don't want to hear about the barrel I tackled last shoot....again...)

As opposed to....not having the right attitude, thus having very little fun;)

What were you hoping to hear?:D

Simmer down Dragoon, simmer down........

We just enjoy our sport and our friends....everyone that comes out regular to our ODPL matches seem to become friends. We like our attitudes the way they are...

That's fine. I'd just like someone to clearly state what the 'right attitude' is..... I'd really like to know.

It's an ineffable sort of thing... 'Not in keeping with the confines of being simply "stated".

It's one of those things noone can recognize until they see it themselves.;)

I think you may be assuming that by saying these shooters have the "right" attitude it's being implied that everyone else has the "wrong" attitude.
Not true...

'How 'bout we sub the word "good" for "right" when it come to attitude in this thread... For the benifit of sensitive souls like our friend Dragoon...

Since I live several thousand kilometres away, and I likely will never be able to experience it myself, why not at least try to be 'effable'.....

"Love your woman old school tonight and tommorrow. Then buy her a pogo stick tommorrow after breakfast. Have her ride that ##### like Wendy on a federal grant.

She'll be in labour by dinner tommorrow."

This gets my vote as the funniest thing I've read on this site this year. :p:p:p

'Anyway.... for those who are interested in shooting another ODPL match... Next one will be at BRRC on the 9th o' Sept.
4 stages.
I think the match theme will be "Night at the Casino", so bring your poker face:cool:
