Leupold box shrink wrapped?

Just bought what I thought was a new leupold freedom, this is my first new leupold. Are they usually shipped in the plastic wrap over the box?
I noticed a few marks on it as well.
 
If in doubt, call the manufacturer and ask them to check the serial number against the lists and see if it is a legitimate piece.

IIRC my last Leupold scope was shrink wrapped in the box.
 
Boxes are all shrink wrapped from Leupold. Box could have been opened by the retailer for various reasons. Korth or Leupold can help with confirming if the scope is legit however if the retailer is established as a Korth dealer I would not have any legitimate concerns. You can buy after the fact shrink wrapping machines (we have one) so that would not be a defining issue for me. Phil.
 
I got ahold of korth and everything checks out, was able to get to the range this morning and really like the scope.
