Actor in vancouver looking for training

Hi
I'm an actor in vancouver who also has his pal and rpal. I can shoot just like anyone who goes into the bush from time to time to shoot clays etc. I can operate firearms SAFELY. I'm looking for a place that offers military/police style firearms training. Looking good on camera while operating firearms the right way is a valuable skill to have. Thanks in advance! Any tips would be great. I live in maple ridge so going out east is alright.

look up berserker_strategic on instagram. He works in the industry and trains on the side.

Civi operations for such training have all been shut down to the best of my knowledge, you really need to go south of the 49th. Now there are also decent online materials that are no substitute, but if you take black badge it opens up options on some ranges for tactical shooting. It's about the only options you'll have for restricted range based practice. Run and gun in a safe area in the bush with friends.

Google black badge course. It's a great first course to take on handling and shooting a handgun.

X2. Take your Black Badge Course and start shooting IPSC Handgun, rifle, shotgun and 3 Gun matches and you’ll be giving Keanu a run for his money in no time.

I have a friend whose son is an aspiring stunt man that has asked me to take him to the range to learn how to shoot HG, SG and rifle for the same reason. Good idea as we see so many actors that clearly have no clue what they are doing.

Look up psi-ops.net

The lead guy is former Mil and current LE. He works with a lot of actors who want in on weapons training. I think he was actually in a movie himself with The Rock Johnson. Skyscraper or something.

He’s in Van also.

Another option is to contact Silvercore Training. They are offering a live fire intro to carbine/ handgun course coming up this October ( if you can wait that long) at a local area range.

Send me a PM if you need more info.

^^^ Or what they say...

^^^ good post above.

If for a tv show or a movie you will need to know how the police force or military you will be portraying handles their firearms. Civilian use and gamer/competition is very different. Even individual police forces and different militaries have different methods. Worth getting it right.

Ha Ha... had to laugh over this comment...wondering if it meant "to show the correct way to wave/point a loaded carbine at a house full of 20 old people celebrating an 85th b-day".
