Several years ago I had my rifle that was given to me by my grandfather redressed = it is a built in the spring of 1958 Husqvarna 3000 chambered in 270 Wby I was born just over a year after it was built.
One day while holding the rifle I realized that I wear new modern clothes while out hunting so decided it was time for this old beast to get a modern outfit as well.
Purchased a new black Sako Hunter model McMillan stock, new scope bases and a like new Leupold VX2 4-12x40mm LR scope off the EE before mounting the scope I shipped the entire rifle to Hope Cerakote in Hope BC.
I had Frank Cerakote the stock OD green and the barreled action minus the bolt Cerakoted satin black, my old rifle is now a super cool weather resistant combo I shot my first moose, first several deer and biggest bodied mule deer with this rifle.
