I found a couple pieces of lead in some ground venison from last year. I've eaten quite a bit of it so I assume I've ingested some.
The lead must be from when I put a finishing shot into the neck at close range...the bullet must have fragmented badly.
I've heard of this happening w/ lead pellets but not deer meat. Anybody else have this happen? I don't know if I should blame the processor or what (no, it wasn't me
). Anyway, guess I should toss the rest of the ground meat/sausage...should I get my lead level tested?
Thanks for any feedback!
