Tavor 7 Shipping in the US of A

Our Tavors came from Israel. So I would assume the 7 would as well. Just because it's available Stateside doesn't mean its available here yet. Well not unless someone imports it themselves.

I wonder if it requires a new FRT number or whether it is a variant of the 5.56 model.

Already classed as NR a while back

FRT has been issued as its all good as NR, its posted on this sub-forum somewhere.

lets hope it happens soon, id like to get one ASAP.

as for Al Flaherty's having it, I'm assuming you searched "Tavor 7 Canada" on google and found the page, its just a /root/ page. a place holder for when they do come into Canada.

The American Tavor's also come from Israel, but then proceed to get overhauled in Harrisburg to make them 922r compliant. If the US has theirs, NS should have ours here stat.

It was selling but having quality issue back last year in the US. Not sure about when Canada will get it, Al Flaherty has it for pre order since early this year.

Shouldn't be too long. We got our Masada pistol a couple weeks before they got theirs in the states. At least vendors are not doing pre-orders without delivery date...

Actually it wasn't commercially available. They were in the beta test phase and were listening to customers pleading for better accuracy right before launch so they the went back to the work bench for the last year to see if they could improve it. My understanding is they were able to improve it, but only marginally at best, I believe the said they were able to squeeze 2.3moa out of it.

It certainly is a bit underwhelming when compared to an AR10 or MDR, but the Tavor has never really been marketed towards being a DMR/SAPR anyways so it should be adequate enough.

2.3moa is very adequate to punch a hole through someone's chest at a hundred yards. In the end that is what the Tavor is about.

If a Tac driver is wanted, go somewhere else. It always irked me when people complain about the lack of accuracy in the Tavor platform. It was never designed for that.

I might be going to Israel soon. Can I pick one up and bring it over?

Seriously, has anyone successfully purchased a firearm in Israel and brought it back? I wonder if IWI would agree to sell to me.
