When I ordered the first time, there was a 20 minute delay while it was being checked.
On that occasion it was determined the housing only made them okay as it was not a magazine.
I liked the product so I doubled up the order.

When US Customs saw my invoice I was rejected at the border with the suggestion they be returned to sender.
TK appeared to be unaware of this change. I don't know if they have made a challenge with the US Authorities.

Let me know of you're successful with your order Ryan.

Were you crossing the border or having them shipped? I ordered 3 Doublekross mag bodies last week and am waiting for the order to be processed. There is a note on my order that reads:

"Note for international customers: Each international order that we receive is processed individually and this takes some time for us to complete. Export documentation and paperwork must be completed for each order as we must strictly adhere to ITAR regulations and restrictions. For these reasons, it may take up to two weeks for international orders to be processed."

I'm curious if this policy is new and if proper documentation is all that's required? With that in mind I'll ask them.

Did an order 8 months ago and got that warning. Took them at least 3 weeks to ship. There is also a bulb that says you are allowed one order per month(30 days)

thanks, i will, how long ago was this ordered?

I ordered over a month ago and ordered direct from TandemKross.

There are other sites and the ones I saw used the same pricing as TK.

Perhaps I could have challenged the interpretation as the policy changed within 6 weeks of the first order.

I asked Tandemkross about exporting and customs and this is the reply I received.

"Thank you for your recent purchase.##

We can ship one order, every thirty days and it must less than $500US. Shipping prices do not count towards the $500US limit.#

At this time the only product we are not licensed to export to Canada are barrels. Magazines and the Double Kross Magazine bodies are not a problem for us to export.#

Once they reach customs they may require a duty fee, however this fee is out of our hands. We have had many orders of Magazines and the Double Kross mag bodies successfully reach out international customers. If in the unexpected chance the package did make it back to us, we can another#re-send it or refund the cost of the order, (depending#on the situation)

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you,#

So it sounds to me like these should get through customs just fine. I sure hope so anyways.

This is a little different from my situation as I ordered for shipment to my US Address.
They would have deemed me an alien and I could not possess the item.
In his letter Kevin is speaking to international orders.

That's what I asked you a few posts up. I'm wondering if they're either ITAR controlled or believed/assumed to be by border agents and that's why they refused you?
