Hi everyone
Perhaps it as been discussed elsewhere but anyway here the story
I recently acquired a beautiful P1 from Tradeexcanada. During my summer holidays, I went to the shooting club for official testing. On 150 rounds I'v got at least 10 jams, all the same type. From the second shot fired the round to be fed have the bad tendency to flip upward & jam on the top of chamber as per this following picture.

I discover on a website a P38 forum & I'm not the only one on this case
(by the way these image came from this forum at http://www.p38forum.com/)
The guy who experience this type of jam try many brand of ammo before discovering the jam cause & it's called REMINGTON. Their ammos (at least the 124Grs) DO NOT RESPECT the overall length of the original 9mm round witch the P38 as been design around see the following picture.

This lack of dimentional respect cause the ammo to move forward in the magazine & then improper aligment with the chamber then the famous jam with P1/P38.
Before calling Tradeexcanada, You need to buy good stuff like Winchester or if you reload just adjust your dies to have the maximum overall length that fit in the magazine.
Also some JHP ammo may do the same because of the hole that is reducing the length of bullet as per this following picture.

As far As I know, generally talking Remington is CRAPPY stuff . Except for maybe few product everyone should avoid it.
On the other hand the P1 (combine with good ammo) is a very nice gun, pleasant & funny to use. For right handed person the left handed ejection is truly useful to clear jam or empty the chamber. The accuracy is very good, about 3" @ 15 when doing medium-fast shooting with a partial rest only.
I can't wait to try it again, this time with appropriate ammo. I will have the possibility to test the accuracy in better way.
