How're your Glock G48's so far?

Hi guys,

I'm wondering abuot the G48. How's the accuracy? I don't just mean for a Glock, I mean compared to the handgun you think you shoot best. How's the recoil? Is the little thing snappy and does it take a bit of time to get back on target? Do you like the Ameriglo sights or is it worth buying basics and then replacing them myself.

Basically, please give a range report with accuracy and photos if you've got em!

Thanks! Let's get a good thread going on these things so all the info and reviews are in one place!

I have shot mine a little, not for accuracy yet. Recoil is snappier than a G17, the gun is lighter. I think it could use a stipple job, I have small hands and find it slipperier than most of my pistols, I attribute that to recoil more than anything (and it was hot out, hands weren't exactly dry.) . I bought HD XR's and installed them myself so I can't comment on the Ameriglo sights.

I like it, I think it would be the perfect Canada legal carry piece. However, I don't think I will ever shoot this thing "best" unless I sink a trigger and stipple into it which would kind of wreck it as a possible CC piece for the USA. I plan to leave it as is, maybe a light stipple... will have to shoot it some more.

I'd like to buy one because it fits my small hands like a glove.
Then I would want to add little extras and kit it out to be a tack driver but am not sure how realistic that is. My CZ75B can surprise with its accuracy with the right ammo, and my 686 is a lazerbeam. None of my other handguns really impress. I'd like to have a little Glock to play with and modify if it's realistic.

Shot a friend's 48. It would be an ideal cc pistol, if that were possible.
Trigger was very decent; sights are bold. It feels good in the hand. It is snappy compared with a full sized polymer framed 9mm, although it is certainly controllable. Almost like a full sized polymer framed .40.
But as an all round range pistol, I'm not interested.

I had one, replaced the fibre sights to the factory plastic ones. Fits my hands like grove, like mentioned before it's kinda slippery. Will do the stipple job later.

I have not tried it for accuracy yet. I'm waiting to get a stipple and trigger job done.
Initial impressions it's not as accurate as my full size 9mms. It seems to jump a lot more, whether that's die to light weight or slippery grip, I don't know yet.

Best out of the box Glock trigger I've tried yet.
Splits and draw times just as good as they've ever been with my bigger Glocks.
Slim and fits my small hands well.
Glock factory night sights came with the gun and they're growing on me.
This gun required no mods and my shooting is developing quite nicely with it.
What's not to like?

The trigger on mine is quite bad. Probably the worst Glock trigger. I haven't pulled it apart to look at the surfaces, maybe needs smoothing on some parts.

I got small hands and short fingers, I can shoot the G48 better than the full size guns even the recoil is snapper. Finally a gun I can hold properly and have the finger on the trigger where it is supposed to be. Second outing I was busting out .17 splits. Loving it.

I've heard of a few people having pretty gritty triggers.
Mine is smooth as can be. Crisp break, and lighter than either of my gen 3s.

Had mine out last Sunday.....my cousin didn't NOT care for the sights, and I have the expensive upgrade......I thought it would suit my g/f's hands, but she liked my CZ Shadow 2 way more......as mentioned, the G48 size makes it a nice CC weapon (if we lived elsewhere).

I like shooting it, I'll have to put more rounds thru it and assess it later.

Have you had any trigger time on the PPQ? If so how would you compare them?

i find it snappier then my 19 and 17, trigger is a lot nicer out of the box then both.
i havnt tried accuracy with it yet but i was hitting the metal plates with every shot every time ive had it out.
havnt had it out on paper yet.

i dont think of it as a tack driver, its a CC pistol, thats what its made for.

that PPQ would be easily twice the size of the G48.

I could have lived without buying a G48. Shot it once and back in the safe.

G19 gen 4 106mm DLASK CUSTOM is still my favorite.
