Traveled to Miramichi Sportsman Club yesterday to shoot their third Outlaw Rimfire Precision Series shoot (August Course of Fire). I guess the sun, moon and stars aligned and I finished first in the open division.

No clue what to do with the medal until someone says, "That medal would look good in a coaster"

14 hours later, and I have my best coaster yet!

How did you get little round casings that roll away if you breathe on them, to sis still while you poured the resin on them? Or did you have to rearrange things with tweezers after the pour?

Great idea by the way. Now I’ve gotta swing by Michaels lol.

I wonder if you could tint the resin with food coloring? Or stirring it with a colored sharpie... And I wonder what you could add to it to make it opaque? (Doing a thin opaque layer on the bottom, adding the objects, then topping with clear to give each piece a bit of a background) maybe just stirring some talc or corn starch in? Hmmm.

You could just lay a piece a felt in the bottom of the mold. I have seen video of tint able resin, I would try food coloring.. As for preventing them from rolling, if you pour around them they don't move as much but I did re position them with a tooth pick when they moved.

Neat! How'd you deactivate the complete rounds?

I pulled projectile of off live rounds and inserted the projectile into a spent casing. I then disposed off the powder (safely burned it) and fired the primer only casing at the range
