Does anyone have the FRT for BCL-102?

I was talking to a cop (RCMP) yesterday who is a friend of a friend and he said to make sure I have the FRT for my BCL-102 if I am going to hunt with it this year because a lot of the other cops he works with don't know one gun from another and if they confiscate my rifle it would be 6 months before I got it back after they determined I was allowed to have it. He suggested having all relevant paperwork handy just in case.

Can anyone provide a copy for those of us in need?

I don't disagree but we cant rely on that.

It's like the argument of who was at fault in the accident? The car or the pedestrian....doesn't matter because the pedestrian (Stag 10 / BCL 102 owner) will come out on the losing end.

When these first hit the market I half-joking suggested they engrave the FRT number on the lower for this very reason. Maybe they should for quick reference.

I don’t. But I also think that if they run into a guy hunting, apparently obeying all other laws and with a reasonable explanation about the gun he’s doing it with they should just take his info, some pictures of the gun, and go find out. If he actually is an idiot hunting with a restricted rifle they can go confiscate it or charge him or whatever at their convenience.

In theory, yes.. cops should have the ability to look these things up *instantly*.

BUT, humans being humans, they also have to be ultra-defensive and whatnot. They have NO CLUE what your state of mind is.

If you're obviously geared up as a 'typical' hunter, with an approved calibre, right spot, right time of the year to hunt, then I would also expect the cops to be more 'cognizant' of the situation and handle it accordingly (i.e. escalate it using reason, questions, etc).

I fear that a lot of cops are now jumping the gun too quick, they seem to fail to assess a situation correctly and go from there.

Im my case, if im out and about with my Stag10, as soon as I would see a CO/cop/etc, I'd make sure that they would see me unload and remove magazine from it (lessen the perceived threat - let's not forget that their body armor wont do jack #### for most rifle calibers).
