B.C. predator cull would target 80 per cent of wolves in caribou recovery areas

The Douglas Lake Cattle Ranch has all their land posted..
During the winter in the high grass land there is some chance of catching some wolves out in the open
A few years ago I had from what I assumed was the ranch manager stop and question me as to what I was doing.. not even on their land
A short time later I was tucked in out of sight and a CO came racing by in his pickup
Money can by most anything now a days

I should add that after that I chatted up a fishing guide from Minnie Lake and he warned me don't dare set foot on Douglas Lake Ranch land or the cowboys will enjoy boot _ ucking you

Seems to me they were trying to claim title to the lake a few years ago Way to much of that crap out there.

Grizz

I was by there last month and unless you know according to the Supreme Court of Canada decision that you have access to those lakes ..you would think it is all private property ..as you have to open a gate..with no signage
different deal then access for hunting wolves as you can't even shoot across their land
American billionare having their way

People who buy their stuff at Walmart support that guy.

Well ...That was interesting..Owned by American multibillionare Stan Kroenke
Who owns the Denver Nuggetts, LA Rams and Colorado Avalanche
In the last few years he has been buying up several major ranches in south central B.C. to add some 120,000 deeded acres plus lease land to his holdings
WOW... B.C. is being sold off to the highest bidder
I know Stump Lake Ranch was sold off a few years ago then broken up into parcels and lake side lots

Bernie Ebbers of disgraced WorldCom bought Douglas Lake Ranch in 1998. Kroenke bought it in 2003

How are they going to cull 80% of a wolf population when they have no idea what the population is to start with? More stupidly simplistic ideas from the desk jockeys in Victoria. The time to get on the wollf cull was 20 years ago but no political party will back this idea, emotions trump science and common sense.
