Using primers that have been submerged

A few years ago i dropped a few cci 250 primers on the floor & picked them up & used them. One of them failed to fire after repeated tries & i assumed it became contaminated somehow. It was probably the only bad cci primer ive ever had, & may have been a dud anyway, but im very careful with primers since. My target ammo is also my moose & grizzly stuff.

Maybe the anvil got knocked loose on that primer.
 
I once experienced some basement flooding during a January thaw (runoff) while in a rental house... some primers got wet and I dried them out.

Been sitting on them for over 10 years. Maybe I should prime a few cases (empty, of course) and fire them / test fire them to see if they ignite.

Maybe for practice ammo I guess. Or I can wait for Chinese New Year and toss them in the fire place (ha ha ha ha) Now to find a fireplace. Just kidding! :wave:
