Hunting Podcasts

When I’m in the tractor listening to podcasts, my favourite hunting one is Meateater, Fred Eichler also just started one. I like Joe Rogan as well, he talks with a wide variety of people, so there pretty much something for everyone if you scroll through episodes.

The hunting collective is a good one for sure. I tried the meat eaters podcast but that steve guy sure loves the smell of his own farts. Why bring on a guest just to talk over them.

I would suggest the opposite. Rinella is great, ben o'brian is a smarmy self righteous little prick. But that's just my opinion.
Kifaru cast is good. Tundra talk is another great one. Randy newberg. Eastman's elevated. Hunt backcountry. Shoot'n the bull. Vortex nation.

I totally agree.

Rinella is very engaging to listen to and has a dynamic podcast facilitation style with varied topics all mixed together ... a two hour podcast just flies by. His personality totally lends itself to hosting podcasts and hunting shows.

Ben O'brian puts me to sleep ...

I will try the other ones that you suggested and see if I like them too ...

Me three.

I've always found Rinella to fall on the side of "Well, I don't have any interest in it, but if anyone else wants to, feel free." Ben O'Brien on the other hand thinks if he doesn't do something, you shouldn't either and he's very, very concerned with ruffling feathers of the antis.

Does anyone know of any podcasts that are more hunting story related? I listen to most that have been listed but it'd be great if I could listen to a story, like old hunt camp stories from magazines and books, versus listening to folks discuss a certain topic sometimes.

There is also Your Mountain, Backcountry Hunters and Anglers Podcast, both fairly conservation minded and not strictly hunting. Gritty Podcast, Kifarucast...both good listens bu tthey had some sort of falling out between Brian Call and Aron Snyder which is disappointing because they were quite close in the Gritty Bowmen days. Aron can be a bit of a #### about some things but then again so can I. I lost interest in The Hunting Collective when they went limp wrist on Adam Greentree's poaching case. I don't care how instafamous you are, if you shoot something inside a national park and know it and plead guilty, it's pretty clear that you're a bad apple.

I've started listening to a couple of bird hunting podcasts...Fowl Front and Duck Gun Podcasts. Only a couple of episodes in so I can't give a full review but they seem good so far.

And if you're not listening to Jocko Podcast you're missing out.

I checked out:

http://anurbanoutdoorsman.com/

They have a podcast, I wish it was more frequent, but I've enjoyed a number of the episodes as a new hunter/bushwhacker and former city slicker.

I will give these podcasts a listen.

I was born and raised in the Soo and I hunt whitetail deer in WMU 36 every year. I love hunting in that bush. The deer are doing very well there in recent years.

I have started to listen to Cutting the Distance by Remi Warren. They are short, well done and contain exclusively detailed big game hunting tips (elk, moose, mule deer, whitetail deer)

I highly recommend them. I alternate these pod casts with the Meateater ones. Both are very good.
