Hey Guys,

Haven't posted in awhile but have been getting back into my rimfire's recently. I am potentially looking to do some upgrades and grab a Kidd 2 stage trigger assembly for my 10/22.

Does anyone know the best place to source one in Canada for a reasonable price? I found one on Dlask's website but man, we're approaching 5 bills.

Any guidance is appreciated and would also love to hear some feedback from others that have used this trigger.

Thanks in advance.

Well I will say this they are the top of the food chain for 10/22. I have two kidd trigger groups and two kidd machined scalloped bolt assemblies. They make a factory 10/22 into a much nicer rifle. I enjoy mine a lot. I got a two stage and a single stage. I’d say go single stage for a rifle you’ll plink and or hunt with. It’s plenty light and crisp. The two stage is much better for a dedicated bench rest target rifle. I paid 349.99$ for mine or 369.99 years ago. Now their higher in price

Hey Mike, thanks for the thoughtful post, appreciate it greatly.

I'm interested to hear why a 2 stage trigger is better for bench rest whereas a single stage is better for plinking/hunting? Is this opinion common across all calibers?

I will mostly be plinking with it, no hunting and may occasionally try and shoot for decent groups.

Thx again.

I run a Kidd two stage 3oz/3oz with the curved trigger on my main gopher gun. I love the trigger but I would recommend the straight trigger blade. Needless to say a ultra light trigger is not recommended for kids or inexperienced/nervous shooters.

Kidd 2 stage; definitely the best mass produced target trigger for a 10/22
Tony Kidd does a very good video explaining his 2 stage trigger:

ps: I have bought several used Kidd 2 stage triggers on the EE. In one case a bought an entire custom 10/22 rifle, sold every part except the trigger and basically got it for free.

In my opinion the two stage, atleast if set too light like 4 ounce trigger pull for example, is dangerously light for hunting and plinking and carrying around. I would always point somebody to the single stage that goes down to 1 pound pull st the lightest setting. Much safer especially if any beginners or noobs are going to try the firearm at some point

Thanks for all the opinions and feedback gents. I think for my purposes, the single stage is the way to go for now. I'll keep my eye open for a 2 stage on the EE as the long term plan.

Quick update. I took delivery of the Kidd single stage from Dlask as well as a couple other small parts from Kidd. Oh man, this trigger is butter. It's a work of art of definitely worth the premium.

Thanks again for the feedback. Happy Shooting.

Dlask seems to be the only place in Canada

I just purchased some items from Dlask and was speaking with Leigh briefly. They are apparently ending their relationship with KIDD due to increased import costs/restrictions. After their current stock runs out you'll have to find an alternative source for KIDD parts if you want them.

there are only (or was only) 3 places that where listed on Kidd's website as being Canadian stores that import from them.

Dlask was the last one that actually has been bringing stuff in.
if they are done that would leave none.

thats a youtube video not a non sponsoring site, you can post those freely as far as i know.
just hit that little film strip icon at the top of your text box and put the www link in the box that pops up and it will link directly to the video.
the video is just Tony Kidd talking about his 2 stage triggers.
its not like you can buy anything from him directly and he isnt even in Canada.
