Scope Recommendations Please

Just picked up a Tikka T3X TAC-A1 6.5mm Creedmoor 24″ Barrel Precision Rifle. Looking for a good scope. I will be shooting up to about 1000m. Any suggestions?
 
Athlon ARES 4.5-30×56. Check out the reticle on that puppy. Lots of elevation adjustment available and illuminated too. Mystic Precision in Summerland BC stocks it.
I believe the mils has a dot and the moa a tiny crosshair, I may be mistaken but I have a Bushnell Forge 3-18×50 FFP very similar reticle but I'm going to swap it out for this.
Make sure whatever you buy has an actual zero stop and enough elevation adjustment. Shims don't cut the mustard.

The Ares ETR looks like a great value for the features you get. It's a few hundred bucks cheaper than the Delta Stryker 4.5-30 FFP which is also an awesome scope that I have on my Tac A1. However I just saw that Mystic Precision is announcing pre-orders for the new Athlon Midas TAC 5-25X56 34mm FFP MIL so that also might be something to look at!

GL55, If I can help with questions and options, please send a pm or email. There are a number of fantastic options from Athlon, Delta and if the budget allows, Tangent Theta.

If you are ok with a SFP target scope, then Sightron has more options.

Budget, what features you want/like in your optic.... also, have a wide range of goodies to support the 6.5 Creedmoor if that helps.

My theory is that the more frogs you kiss, the better chance of finding a Prince.
Asking opinions here is the correct strategy for starters, but everyone's eyes and visual perceptions vary.
Examine the options and features to determine what serves your situation best. Spend whatever is OK with your wallet, but, most critical in my opinion is looking through them and comparing what your eye likes.
Positive turret clicks and repeatability are important,as are other features like reticle choice options, but its the GLASS and what that manufacturer did to it that will impress your eye and keep it off the EE for a long time.

I don't have a favourite but have mounted on my guns Bushnell, Leupold, Vortex, Zeiss and other less known glass,all of them serving well in their tasks.
Sounds kinda generic but I've shown a lot of scopes to novices and veterans and they all seem pretty happy when they leave.
