That must be an old mag
Not sure, I just bought it off the EeThat must be an old mag
One last question.
Is it possible to take some tension off the spring?
It’s tighter than a ducks arse![]()
View attachment 308701Ya, I can’t do that, the front goes down 3/4 inch or so, the back don’t move.
It’s very hard to push in with my thumb.
I think that the cartridges are in there so tight that the Buffer spring don’t have enough power to push the round all the way out.
It’ll lock back on the empty mag and the catch. It should be locked back by an empty magazine or the bolt catch, definately not a live round.
With a mag empty the follower will push the bolt catch up to snag the bolt.
It is possible to have the bolt snag on the magazine follower or rear of certain mags if it doesn't fully cycle but it should be coming back further to be held by the bolt catch. You should be able to pull it back further and engage the bolt catch manually to hold the bolt back and away from any live rounds.

It’ll lock back on the empty mag and the catch.
But when I lock it back with the catch and inset a mag, the cartridge is under the bolt.
Or if I insert a mag and then look the bolt back, it locks on the case head , thereby pushing the cartridge forward, about an 1/2 inch
Hey guys, sorry but I may have made a stupid mistake.
I was locking back the bolt, inserting a mag and then releasing the bolt ,with the bolt release button.
Because I was doing it like this, I realized the bolt was sitting on top of the cartridge, therefore riding over it.
Also the ASC mag seems to be working, now that I removed material from the front.
Range test tomorrow![]()
