Stag 10 build and range review

That was you who I sold it to?

I have a few more guns for sale if you want the same experience.
Ha ha, I’m much more knowledgeable now, I’ve tried em all.
You still got that Magneto for sale, I’m looking for a deal .
You owe me one, after that SU 16 deal.. lol

It was in 2013, my first EE experience lol

The magneto is gone, I like the Labradar way better.

I still have a spare mag for the SU16, I couldn't remember who I sold it to.

For the guys in this thread with the magpul UBR stocks... Did you run the included spacer in the buffer tube? I'm in the process of building mine, and am running a flatware carbine spring and Maple ridge armory ar-10 h2 carbine buffer.

Without the spacer in place, when my buffer bottoms out in the tube, the BCG is buried into the buffer tube with a slight gap before the gas key. Does this sound about right? In my instructions that came with the stock, it indicates not to use the spacer, but in other threads here guys with the ubr have said they utilized it... Hence my confusion

I believe it’s an A5 tube and you need the spacer. The A5 is 3/4” longer than the carbine.

Yes you should use it.
In your clearance test I guess you insert the bcg in the lower only. In the upper the gas key would hit the charging handle if I'm not mistaken.
You don't use the spacer with some rare Vltor buffer I believe.

Yes, you are right about testing in just my lower... Thanks for the help!

I have a custom cut down 16.5 inch stag 10 handguard, an A2 front sight gas block with a 18.75 inch barrel and an A2 stock on mine, needs to sight in, I want a second upper to build a standard upper lol

well, one last build before the election is in order. Just waiting for the goodies to arrive.
Lantac Nib BCG
MRA taper pencil 18.6 .308
MRA 15" handguard
superlative arms adjustable gas block
lantac gas tube
MRA defiant brake
Radian LT charging handle.....

hopefully I can build it an shoot it before all hell breaks loose or if things go favorably on the 21st we will all be basking in a CPC majority and looking forward to building more rifles haha

This thread is getting extensive!
Did anyone here build one with some A2 features?
I am wondering how one would look with A2 stock, and with triangular front sight/gas block

Edit : looks good thats what i want, except with an A2 stock!

I got an A2 front sight gas block and a2 stock on mine, I cut down the 16 inch hand guard, I have the A2 hand guard too, in box me and I'll give a link to an updated pic

I just completed this one, man was the barrel nut hard to torque! The supplied two-piece wrench immediately stripped its own teeth when I started to put some pressure on it to line up the ports for the gas tube :jerkit:. I had to finish the job with a strapwrench

What handguard is it in this picture?

This is somewhat similar to the build I wish to finish with.
It's a pic I found on the internet.

Replace buttstock for OD A2, and pistol grip for OD A2, and it's pretty much it.
ACOG and everything, should make a really rugged bush gun with that optic (ACOG)

Super excited to test this out! I’ve been torn between getting the Faxon Gunner profile or a heavier profile barrel. I’m worried the Faxon accuracy isn’t that good compared to heavier ones, but I’m happy if I can get sub moa with quality Ammo. What accuracies have you guys been getting with Faxon Gunner?

Some highlights!
- Faxon 18.6” Big Gunner
- Aero M5 Enhanced
- Geissele SD-E
- Raptor Ambi CH
- Magpul MBUS PRO
- Vortex Gen II HD-E + Throw lever + Bubble level
- ADM Mount
- Harris HBMRS
- Unknown flash hider (still trying to figure out)
- Geissele Gas Block
- Bronwells Nitride 308 BCG
- Aero 308 Carbine Buffer Kit
- Magpul grip and stock
