Has anyone tried Boss Shotshells line of copper plated bismuth yet? They don't have a distributor in Canada yet but there aren't a ton of options available for those of us who don't want to shoot steel.

Kent Bismuth has been getting decent reviews, I am ordering a couple cases. Their distributor for the maritimes is in NS, I will PM you his email address and phone number. I hope some of the current crop of lead like nontoxics catches on and find their way north, because some prices are at least bearable. I love getting the old classics back into the blind.

Thanks Jim. I'm of a mind that a guy could go out and buy a good full-choke Auto 5 and feed it Tungsten-Polymer or Bismuth and shoot for a long time before you amortized the cost of a new autoloader. I had great success with the Kent Tungsten-Matrix (like turn back the clock to the old days of lead shot). The US price of Boss makes it pretty attractive too but so far it's not North of the 49th.

When Kent brought out their Bismuth loads a couple of years back, I ordered a case of 12 & 20 gauge 2 3/4" #5's. I had great success with them on ducks. I, also like BU Man had great success with their Tungsten-Matrix. I haven't had a chance to try the new Kent Bismuth (sold in boxes of 25).
