Murray Charlton closing new warranty centre is Grech outdoors

Grech is bad place being waiting for months a little ass'y for my Model 19, they are just doing nothing.

When i buy a new item, i ask who is on service, if they say Grech, i just pass.

I wish I searched this forum before sending in a brand new unfired, defective firearm to Grechs. It's been there for 3 months and they have stopped communication. Any tips? Should I call my CC company? Report it stolen? Just wait?

Sure, phone the RCMP or your local constabulary and see how long your gun repair takes then....
I'm sure MC is missing the drama while resting Down Under.

I don't care about getting it repaired anymore. I just want my money back to be honest. Not knowing the status or whereabouts of a firearm registered to me kind of freaks me out. Not sure what to do here except wait like a donkey?

Just fyi I finally got it back a couple weeks ago. Took forever but as soon as I started phoning every week it seemed to at least progress. Works fine I guess but if there are any other issues I will just bring it to a smith in Regina or Saskatoon and pay. Dont know of any local smiths.

Grech is so fking useless. Send a Mossberg for warranty work. It sat there forever. I gave up and told them to sent it back. I phoned Mossberg, told them the situation. I told them what the problem was and what parts needed to be replaced. Mossberg went above and beyond and Express Post the parts to me. It was a simple fix. I can't say enough about Mossberg's customer support.

I waited over a year on a CZ2, thankfully the warranty for CZ got transferred to Wolverine Supplies who dealt with my issue immediately. Wouldn't even bother ever sending anything to Grech.

I sent CZ a letter asking them to switch their warranty centers. I explained to them that their current warranty center makes them look bad as people blame CZ for the terrible warranty service. They never sent me a reply back but a few months later, Wolverine was suddenly the warranty center. I recommended Wolverine Supplies in the letter to be their warranty center.

I forwarded this thread to the SW warranty rep David D. Unfortunately he didn't seem to think much of it. He doesn't seem to think anything is wrong. I won't be buying any more SW guns until things change that is for sure...

Grech told me they'd finally be working on my gun two weeks ago. It's simple stuff that should only take a few hours but nothing since the last email. I have contacted them three times this week with no response. It's crazy that a company like S&W would use a place like Grech as their warranty center. Goes to show the state of the company these days I guess.

Let me know if you get any traction. Not sure what else to do.

If amyone has access to a US corporate diirectory, it might be possible to get a list of the principals of American Outdoor Brands, S&W's parent company, and send actual letters of complaint to the head of the Firearms Division.

American Outdoor Brands Corporation

2100 Roosevelt Ave
Springfield, MA, 01104-1606 United States

(800) 331-0852
www.aob.com

Alternately, someone on the S&W Forum might have that info.

The gun was finally shipped to me last Tuesday. That's after the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever gone through. It was a farce, almost comical at times. I would love to write a formal complaint letter. If anyone finds the exact address to send it to I will be all over it. Unfortunately I don't plan on joining any forums outside CGN.
