what are you most excited to hunt this year?

I am excited for three different ones.

Bighorn for me, but also to take my four year old Daughter for a muley doe.

And Christy for her Cow Moose, her first moose.

I will have Dave's number on speed dial to help with the dirty work in trade for lots 'n lots of meat.

Elk and whitetail will be fun at home too I hope.

Elk, white-tail and blacktails :)

Look forward to use my scoped .44 mag carbine on some of the hunts. For elk in grizzly country, the 300 Winchester and the 30-06. Also want some room for using the 7X57 Mauser :)

i am just plain excited, rifle season starts on monday and i have tags for black bear, whitetail, mule deer, elk, and sheep. with luck next week i will get either a 5 point whitetail or a 6 point elk.

And I just hate "Swamp Donkeys" period.

with the recent scientific studies that are claiming "moose beltching is the cause of globle warming" i will be looking forward to do my part in saving the world. looking forward to knocking off 2 bulls and 1 cow for starters. also our camp will be honored to have a few new guests this year...fogducker, dumbdawg and his son chris. :sniper:

thank you for the kind words 3006........if camping with you,s is as much fun as the campfire meals and parties, we have shared over the years...its about time we joined troops..
cant wait:D

for me it is grouse, don't have a 4 wheel drive so getting out to hunt anything else is probably going to be a no-go. and can get grouse on the way to and from work for the most part ;)

Woodcock and grouse for me! Starts next weekend, I was cleaning the 28 gauge this morning and the dog got all exited I swear he knows whats coming.
This year I'm taking 2 weeks off just for that. I will be going to New Brunswick for at least 1 week .:canadaFlag:

I'm really looking forward to moose up by Thompson at the end of the month. My Whelan is tired of punching holes. If I don't get the time off, I'll be in Manitoba for all of deer season, so I guess I'll get a bit of a tradeoff.

Stupid work gettin in the way.

In a week I'll be in elk camp and I am getting very stoked to be chasing bulls again this fall. While i love hunting all biggame animals elk have easily become my most desirable and enjoyable to hunt. Nothing like hearing, smelling and seeing elk. Hair is standing on end just thinking about getting a response or hearing them holler prior to sun up.

I haven't decided on whether or not I will go for white tail this year but I'm definitely going out for coyote and maybe wolf.

Believe it or not, for me it will be my 4-5 days on Texada chasin those itty-bitty deer. It has a lot less to do with the meat than the getting out and away with the boys. Meat I can get in an hour from home, hopefully.
And I think I might try for Chukar this year for the first time, and I'm stoked for that.
