P226 barrel rifling question

Does anyone know if sig may have a polygonal "rifled" barrel or just a conventional rifling?
The reason for asking is because I just purchased a new SIG p226 Legion SAO (really expensive for my first gun) and my range only allows to shoot lead tipped only.
 
You are good to go. I have shot lead casts out of a polygonal rifling pistol with no issues but never over 300 rounds and a good cleaning so your results may vary

As I know, lead tipped bullets it's soft point or hollow point jacketed bullets.

So, no problem.
 
Your out door range steel target are not all hard steel, so lead on them, other than that what ever.
My Jericho's shoot lead fine, thou a old one has a poor barrel and it will lead up , so have to clean it often, the new one is fine with lead.
Sig should be standard rifling.

Me too; Jericho full size steel .40. That's about all I shoot in it and fairly hot. Very accurate, and no more fouling than I would get with any other pistol. Some companies may say jacketed or plated only possibly because they don't test their pistols with lead. Jericho manual says nothing about lead bullets vs. jacketed.

Yes, SIG uses conventional rifling.

Sig uses conventional rifling. In any event, you can easily tell by looking down the barrel. Unlike conventional rifling, polygonal rifling does not have clearly defined lands and grooves.
