So, I looked into irunguns first:
"unfortunately we do not carry Vortex products. You can do a 3rd party import for products we don't carry but the fee for that service is $225 CAD for up to 50lbs of part/accessories so I'm not sure it would really be worth it for a $300 scope.
We have many other models in that price range that are much better quality: https://www.irunguns.com/optics/scopes
Let me know if you see something you like and I can provide a total cost including shipping and tax. We have a free US-to-Canada shipping promo starting tomorrow at 0900, so if you order between then and Tuesday, you can save $34 CAD on the order total. "
I emailed euro optic and they are taking care of export paperwork free of charge, just purchased one, $299 + $65 USD shipping, filled out the import paperwork, I will send to themonce I recieve it and they will do export paperwork then send it, looks like at least 3-4 weeks.

If this all works out, Ill post some more info in a thread....
I'm into this for about $486 CAD right now.
(Edit: my forward of a message from irunguns is in no way meant as a criticsm, but to identify actual costs, if it is preferred by the sponsor or site that this information is not shared in this format or in my post please let me know and I'll edit or remove it)
Fascinating -- a few months ago in the onsite chat, the europtic rep told me they wouldn't do paperwork, that i'd have to find an exporter and importer to handle it. They recommended Prophet River. That's where I got the numbers I posted above.
Is europtic doing the paperwork for you, because it's personal, not for resale? Because inside USA shipping on that scope is only $10. If I'm across for 48 hours I can bring it back free, using my 800 exemption.
Expect to be reamed by Customs. The Turd needs every dollar he can steal, to pay for budgets that balance themselves and the $675 million media bribe.
The last two times I've crossed, using Nexus, I've had to pay full HST on everything. Until Turd got into power, it was much more relaxed. Now if you've bought anything, you pay.
Customs will use the currency exchange rate of their choosing on the day they process your order. Then they'll calculate HST on the total bill -- yes, shipping too, the bastards.
