Finds in the bush thread

This was a neat one:

A “letter to heaven” written on the balloon.

“...don’t worry about us down here, Craig is taking good care of us...”

I once found old claim tags and a turn of the century pad lock the weird thing was it was on top of a cliff in Pritchard on land that used to be in the family for as far back as anyone can remember. No one knew why they would of been up there

I found a small weather balloon and instrument package while deer hunting near Parry Sound, ON it had been launched from the Upper Pennisula of Michigan. I have also found a few knives over the years, I think they get placed on a vehicle and the owner then drives off. I also salvaged a 14 ft aluminum boat from the bottom of a remote lake. WK

About 22 yrs ago we were ripping around alouette lake in my boat .
The lake narrows in the middle . We went to shore at the narrows to walk around a bit .
The water level of the lake was low at that time .
I'll never forget coming across a stump that must normally be just below the surface at normal lake level .
There were 3 propeller blades snapped off & imbedded in a row on the top of the stump !
Somebody had a bad day boating ! ;)

Found an old machete down the 670 road near scotch creek Bc, says chechzlovakia and something or other on it, still have it, put a new handle on it and an edge. drag it around with me in my truck for camping and getting small fires going when I'm out and about

Head up to the far North East end of the lake, where the "beach" is. Say 20 feet or so off shore where the really big stumps are, you may just note some keel marks from a Cessna 172 on floats... Yeah, it was fun getting out of there.

Damn shame about that memory though, is that it was the last time I got a chance to talk to Jim. He died when the same 172 went into Pitt Lake, October of 2012.

I found a tackle box. Inside was some gear and a fishing license from about 30. years ago!! The box must have sat in that spot for 30 years when someone forgot it.

I took the license with me and mailed it to the person at his address saying how I found his tackle box but never heard back from him. Maybe he moved or maybe he had already died

I just remembered because of the last post, I also found two rods at a lake of the side of the highway up by pg heading north with two crocs attached, they had been sitting there sometime but still had the zip ties and plastic on the handles, it was spring and I had stopped for a walk on my way south from work. I guess some one didn't like fishing

A friend and I were on our dirt bikes literally in the middle of nowhere. My friend stopped ahead of me and got off his bike (he saw something reflecting light laying in the hardwoods off the trail). I stopped behind him. I watched him walk into the hardwoods wondering what the hell he was doing. As he bent over too look at something in the leaves, a guy in a ghilli suit stood up and ran the opposite direction. With a scoped rifle. My buddy run for his bike and we high tailed.

SOOO MANY QUESTIONS!

was he a poacher or a psychopath?

On the boat thread:

We were trolling for wall eye, watching the fish finder and the perfect outline of an original bombider ski doo (bubble nose) is sitting on the bottom of the lake.

i have tried to find it again but cant seem to.

Outside lillooet my buddy and I stumbled across 4 rusted out cars in the middle of the bush. Can't for the life of me figure out how they got there. We are talking many km from anything resembling a road, on some pretty gnarly terrain (almost impossible to cross on foot, quite a few sections where we had to pass our dogs up to each other). Not 4wd vehicles either, passenger sedans. Mind boggling.
