Stag 10 Help Needed

Hi everyone I am doing my first build and I have a stag 10 upper/lower. I installed a JP Silent Captured Spring and a JP Bolt Carrier (JPBC-7) along with the JP High Pressure Bolt and firing pin.

When I slide in the bolt group and charging handle everything seems okay but for the life of me I can’t charge the thing. It won’t let me pull back at all. Zero play.

Any suggestions?

If you take the upper off can you pull the charging handle and bcg out? Or is it only when the upper/lower are attached?

Is it possible that the forward assist pawl is sticking out just far enough to catch on the serrations on the bcg? This would jam it up completely.

Excellent thought! Yes all clear with upper off. I did install the v seven forward assist and may not have lined it up correctly. Will try now and let you know if that resolved the issue. Thanks so much sir!

Forward assist completely removed and no go still.

And I figured it out. Buffer retaining tube that is optional to remove according to JP does not appear to be an optional removal scenario when using stag 10 with JP Bolt, BCG and Silent Captured Spring

Is the silent capture buffer caught on the buffer retaining pin? Also you don't need the retaining pin with the silent capture buffer.

pics would be helpful

The buffer retaining pin for the buffer tube was blocking the BCG from being able to charge. JP does Suggest to remove it in the instructions but states it isn’t necessary, it only makes sliding the silent captured spring easier to install. It appears on the stag 10 it is imperative to remove for proper function of these components.
